In the first half of 2025, exports from Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa fell slightly (0.7%) from the same period last year, but the trade balance was positive (€2,113 million).
According to data released today by the Basque Institute of Statistics Eustat, last June exports fell 1.4% from the same month last year, although it was much lower than in May, when they fell 10.1%.
Following a 4.7 per cent decline in exports in January, exports rose in February (2.4 per cent), March (6.6 per cent) and April (4.5 per cent).
In total, EUR 15,716.9 million has been exported, 109.5 million less than the previous year.
Germany eta France, main export destinations
Germany and France are the main export destinations of the Basque Country. Germany (2342.1 million) leads the list, followed by France (2,342.1 million), the United Kingdom (6.5%) and the United States (6%).

Euskadi imported assets worth 13,603 million euros in the first half of 2025, 216.4 million less.
