The rent of a 60-square-foot apartment in San Sebastian will be at most 800 euros
Once the reference price index for Gipuzkoa has been published in the Official Gazette of the State, this Wednesday the rule that allows to limit the price of rent in the tense municipalities of Gipuzkoa enters into force. Irun, for a dwelling of 60 square metres, no more than 624 euros may be requested.
Followingthe publication in the Official Gazette of the State of the reference price index in the territory of Gipuzkoa , this Wednesday enters into force the rule to limit rentsin municipalities as tense as Donostia, Irun, Errenteria, Lasarte-Oria and Zumaia.
Thus, from this Wednesday, the maximum street prices of the strained areas of Gipuzkoa will be available. Crossing the income and housing price data of its inhabitants, for a flat of 60 square meters you will not be able toaskfor more than 800 euros or 928 euros for floors of 70 square meters. In Irun,for an apartment of 60 square meters, for example, you can ask for a maximum rent of 624 euros.
This new index will affect persons with five or more properties, housing entering the rental market for the first time and those who have not been leased in the last five years.
The mayor of Donostia-San Sebastián, Eneko Goia, recalled that thereference price index for Gipuzkoa published this Tuesday in the BOE "affects 10% of the rental market", since "90% was regulated, so to speak".
In Álava and Bizkaia we will have to wait to know this index, since the Spanish Ministry of Housing is still awaiting data from the Treasury of Deputies.
