The winter sale period has officially begun and the consumer association Facua has listed the 15 most common traps made by various establishments at this time. Facua. Despite the purchase during the sale period, the rights of consumers remain intact. Consequently, as at other times of the year, the consumer has the right to claim against illegal practices.
According to Facua, the 15 most common "traps"are:
1- The signs announcing the sale take up more space than the products sold. According to the law, at least half of the items must have a price market to be able to announce that a store is on sale.
2- You start installing the new video game you bought and you realize it has a disk inside it, so "you've been sold a used product."
3- Clothes with discounts were not on sale before the sale. "Some chains at this time manufacture marketing products, inventing the old price (and price market) that must appear on the labels.
4- To find the discounted products "you have to ask for a map at the entrance to the trade", since many establishments will extend the sale period by two months, although they have very few items left with discounts .
5- "The shirt you bought lacks two buttons, but at the store you have been told that they do not accept a refund on sale." If a defective product does not have a discount, the consumer has the right to ask for it to be repaired or to ask for it to be changed for the same. If this is not possible, the money must be returned to the buyer.
6- The appliance has a guarantee of one year, not three years, in which case this product for sale is a second-hand product, since they have a guarantee of one year.
7- Trade does not allow discount products to be paid by card.
8- 70% discount is limited to five or six products from the entire store.
9- 70% discounts do not exist. The excuse is that with that discount they initially had some item, and now it's a lot of work to remove advertising from the facade and all the ads from the store.
10- At the point of sale they warn that if you return a product purchased at Christmas you cannot take it back at a lower price. League forbids it.
11-\u00A trousers that used to cost 69.99 euros are now sold for 69.95 euros. "The law does not set the minimum discount that a product must have to advertise as a discount.
12. The trade says they only accept returns on products that have no discount.
13. They put down products next to others.
14- The price of a coat a week before the sale "may now be much lower".
15- If you want to change a defective discounted product, you need to get a purchase card or money.
