Workers from Tubos Reunidos and Maderas de Llodio are mobilizing against EREs in Álava today

The workers of Tubos Reunidos and Maderas de Llodio will hold a joint mobilization today, Friday, in Amurrio(Álava) to defend the 336 jobs threatened by the EREs submitted by both companies, despite the fact that the TSJPV declared the Maderas de Llodio file inadmissible on Wednesday.

Specifically, the mobilization called by the works councils of both companies and the SOS Aiaraldea platform will depart from the San José roundabout in the Alavesa town.

The promoters of the mobilization hope to gainthe support of the citizens of Aiaraldea , where the factories of Tubos Reunidos and Maderas de Llodio in Amurrio are located.

Prior to this joint march, the Tubos Reunidos Amurrio Works Council will hold another bat in the morning, which will begin at the entrance to the factory and end in front of the City Hall. The workers' representatives will meet with thelocal mayor, Txerra Molinuevo\u00A0, according to union sources.

In Maderas de Llodio, the management initially planned to lay off 39 workers on the grounds of\u00A0 "productivity and organizational reasons" En the EREthat finally materialized last October, however, received 35 redundancies 0. 

Theworkers of Maderas de Llodio  have appeared on Thursday toassess the judgment ofthe High Court of Justice of the Basque Country , which declared illegal the employment regulation file applied to the company, which affected 35 workers at the Llodio plant.

"The judgment is clear. Collective dismissal is not justified, "they stress. Auitegia states that" the economic data provided to support the ERE, although not formally alleged for economic reasons, run counter to the causes officially inspected and registered by the company. "

The Commission has pointed out that, according to the resolution, 'the alleged cost increases at the Llodio plant have not been verified' and that the social part was not provided with the required information on the costs of other factories in the group.

The management of Tubos Reunidos has put on the table to the unionsan ERE (LEE) that involves the dismissal of   301 people from the plants of Amurrio and Trapagaran  , among other proposals, the possibility of pre-retirement from the age of 60 and voluntary expulsions.

The unions have not accepted the management's proposal and have described it as ridiculous. They have explained that they will not make an assessment of the measures. "We were told it was going to be a generous proposal and we have seen it," said García Andres Tubos Reunidos, chairman of the Amurrio workers' committee.
