Osakidetza will conduct the first joint OPE 2023-2025 examinations in June
The Basque Government will publish during the month of March the specific bases of the nine categories of the call, with a total of 5,425 places, of which 2,160 are new.
The Minister of Health of the Basque Government, Alberto Martínez, has announced that in March the specific bases of the nine categories of the joint OPE 2023, 2024 and 2025 of Osakidetza will be published and that the first examinations will be carried out in June.
These tests will be the most numerous categories in the call, which brings together three years of public job offers and comprises a total of 5425 places, of which 2160 are new, as explained by the counsellor at the Forum Europe-Tribuna Euskadi held in Bilbao.
The call is part of the strategy of the Department of Health to strengthen stable employment in the Basque public health system and improve care capacity. Martinez recalls that in 2025 more than 11,000 professionals were stabilized in Osakidetza and stresses that the aim now is to continue to reduce temporality, loyalty of talent and strengthen staffing.
To this joint OPE will be added other initiatives such as the offer of places that are difficult to fill, extended to regional hospitals, and a specific call adapted for persons with intellectual disabilities. According to the counsellor, a more stable staffing will improve continuity of care and strengthen health teams.
