Bizum will be able to pay in stores with a mobile phone from May 18th

From May 18 , Bizum will allow mobile payment in stores with , bringing the phone with NFC technology closer to a dataphone similar to that used with credit cards. 

CaixaBank, Sabadell and Bankinter will be the first to authorize payments through Bizum. Labor Kutxa will also offer the option from the 18th, but in a limited number of stores.

This is a major step forward, but there is also a fear of fraud affecting businesses and users. One of the greatest risks is that traders and users will try to deceive themselves by activating services on unverified links.

In the case of buyers, fraud can occur by checking payments without paying attention.

In principle, the new service will only be available in the Spanish State (Bizum has 31 million users ) and Andorra, although work is under way to reach more European countries.

In this way, the Spanish bank's immediate payment system will compete with Visa and Mastercard. 

However, banking institutions are expected to gradually expand the system, that is, the new system will be available to all users by the end of the year.
