Young people between the ages of 23 and 29 can apply for the Emancipation grant from today
The Basque Government has relaxed the minimum limit which has hitherto been set for 25 years.
The Basque Government opened this Tuesday 12 the 2026 call for theEmancipation Programme, with the novelty that it has increased the age range so that young people between the agesof 23 and 29 can benefit from this assistance, which has hitherto been available to those over the age of 25.
The deadline for submitting applications will be open until 30 November , provided that the funds are not exhausted beforehand. The assistance is a direct paymentof €300 per month, can be received for a maximum period of 24 months, and is intended to help cover the cost of rent or mortgage.
Conditions
Young people with an annual income of more than EUR 3 000 and less than EUR 30 000 (up to EUR 36,500 if a joint declaration is made) will be eligible for aid.
How to order it?
Applications may be submittedby electronic means in person both in the offices of Zuzenean and in the places specified in the administrative procedure regulations.

Since its inception, Emancipation has mobilized aroundEUR 39 million . Between 2024 and 2025, thousands of aid has been granted, with Bizkaia being the largest beneficiary.
