Medical strike committee confirms indefinite strike in September

The Medical Strike Committee has condemned the conflict with the Ministry of Health and has confirmed that an indefinite strike will begin in September to proclaim its own Statute.
The Medical Union has pointed out that the Strike Committee has already "taken" the decision to start an indefinite strike, and now only the "start date" remains to be defined, as announced by SMA spokesman Rafael Ojeda at a rally in Madrid.
In this regard, the Strike Committee stresses that in September "the format of the indefinite strike and the other measures taken to contain the demands of the collective will be defined".
The requirements of these professionals are "a specific area of negotiation, with real legal guarantees and without dependence on other tables; the establishment of a 35-hour working day with an excess of working time that is recognised, paid and computable for retirement purposes; a fair professional classification in accordance with the level of training and clinical responsibility; and a flexible and non-penalized retirement model that recognizes the hardship of medical exercise".
