A man arrested at Bilbao airport for sending a gun to Sweden
A 38-year-old man has been arrested at Bilbao airport on charges of sending a firearm by mail to Sweden for an alleged arms trafficking offence.
The weapon was intercepted by the Swedish security forces and the man was ordered to be identified, arrested and handed over at European level, according to the National Police.
The detainee, who has been located on a flight from New York to Bilbao, has been arrested and placed at the disposal of Central Guard Court No. 5 of the National High Court through the Bilbao Guard Court.
