A volunteer from Salamanca has died and five people have died in Spain from forest fires

Representatives of VOX and the Union del Pueblo Leones (UPL), David Hierro and Luis Mariano Santos, respectively, have reported the death of a man who volunteered to extinguish the fire in the town of Cipérez, in the province of Salamanca. However, the Junta de Castilla y León has issued a note stating that this death has no connection with the fires.

That being the case, there are five deaths from fires on the Iberian peninsula , three of them in the province of León, one in Salamanca and the fifth in Tres Cantos (Madrid).
