Trafikoko operazio bereziaren ondorioz, Euskadin hamaika pertsona hil dira ekaina eta abuztua bitartean, iazko udan baino hiru gehiago. Halere, istripu eta zauritu larri eta arinen kopuruak behera egin du.
Udako trafikoko operazio bereziaren ondorioz, Euskadin hamaika pertsona hil dira ekaina eta abuztua bitartean, iazko udan baino hiru gehiago, nahiz eta istripu eta zauritu larri eta arinen kopuruak behera egin duen.
Eusko Jaurlaritzako Trafikoko zuzendariak, Estibaliz Olabarrik, udako ezbeharren balantzea aurkeztu du. Balantze horretan 1.154 istripuren berri eman da (ekainaren 26tik abuztuaren 31ra bitartean jazo direnak), 2024an baino % 6,7 gutxiago. Jaitsiera hori gorabehera, hildakoen kopuruak gora egin du, zortzi izatetik hamaika izatera igaro baita.
Istripu hilgarrien kausa ohikoenak gidatzean gertatzen diren distrakzioak, alkoholaren kontsumoa eta gehiegizko abiadura dira. Faktore horiek kasuen % 60an agertzen dira gutxienez, Olabarriren arabera.
Heriotzen kopuruak gora egin badu ere, zauritu larrien kopuruak % 17,5 egin du behera, aurreko udan baino 66 pertsona gutxiago izan baitira zaurituak; zauritu arinen kopuruak, berriz, % 8,6 egin du behera, 572tik 523ra. 2025ean 30 pertsona hil dira EAEko errepideetan.
Trafikoko zuzendaria "oso kezkatuta" agertu da ezbehar-tasaren bilakaerarekin, eta erakundeen eta herritarren erantzukizun partekatua eskatu du. "Denok jarri behar dugu gure alde", adierazi du, eta gogorarazi du kontrol- eta sentsibilizazio-kanpainek istripuak murrizteko funtsezko tresna izaten jarraituko dutela.
Udan, gainera, nazioarteko trafikoak gora egin du, 2,1 milioi ibilgailu baino gehiago ibili baitira Euskadi zeharkatzen, Portugalera eta Afrika iparraldera, 2024an baino % 5,5 gehiago. Hazkunde hori Biriatuko ordainlekuan eta A-8 autobidean nabaritu da batez ere, bertan izan baitira udako auto-ilara handienak.
