Gernika-Lumo celebrates the "Last Monday of October" fair on Monday
Gernika-Lumocelebrates its traditional "Last Monday of October" fair on Monday, October 27, bringing together more than 310 stalls with a variety of cultural, sporting and competitive activities to color a traditional market with more than 650 years of history.
The craft stalls (56) will be the most numerous in this edition, along with bread and Basque cake (42) and cheese stalls (38), honey, txakoli, canned and other local products.
The streets of Gernika are: Artekale (66), Pasealeku (56), Industria (40), San Juan (32), Juan Calzada (30), San Juan Ibarra (21), Domingo Alegria (20), January 8 (20) and Alhóndiga (2).
The eight market txosnaswill be located in the Plaza de los Fueros, Paseo, Saraspe, Adolfo Uriosten and Ciutat de Berga.
As aresult, the Biscayans will be able to enjoy one of the most important agricultural fairs in the Basque Country, which, like every year, will bring together thousands of people to taste local products of excellent quality.

This year's edition will feature a number of new features, including a digital map (using aQR code ) and a virtual frontonto see the exact location of each producer.
Cultural activities
Throughout the day there will be various competitions and cultural offerings organized by the City Council.
There will be special contests with the products, since the vegetable, fruit, ornamental plants, txakoli, honey and cheese competitions will have juries made up of specialized technicians.
On the other hand, cultural performances will also have their place at the fair, such as bertsolaris exhibitions (Sebastian Lizaso, Andoni Egaña and Onintza Enbeita) and basket tip matches at the Jai Alai fronton.
