Osakidetza treated 2,121 victimsof male violence in 2024, an average of six per day , 3.2 per cent morethan the previous year.

Osakidetza has released these data on theoccasion of next Tuesday's International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. 

Of the total number of women treated, 374 were victims of sexual assault, an increase of 39.5 per cent over 2023, when 268 cases were dealt with.
