The 27-year-old man arrested for his alleged involvement in the murder of the 54-year-old woman in Barakaldo was taken to court this Wednesday by the Ertzaintza, according to sources from the Department of Safety and Security, who is currently testifying before the judge in the Getxo Court.
The man was arrested on Sunday night in connection with the murder of a woman named Josune, both of whom were co-workers and who, according to EITB, attended the company's Christmas dinner.
The victim's daughters alerted the Ertzaintza about 11:30 a.m. on Sunday morning to the discovery of the mother's body in the house on Sociedad Santa Águeda Street in Barakaldo.
Emergency services, agents of the Ertzaintza and the court team came to the scene and confirmed the death of the woman, who was found to have died violently by the autopsy.
Barakaldo City Council and various associations have held rallies to condemn the murder.
