A 49-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, 25 December, on charges of injury.
The events related to gender-based violence took place shortly after 8:00 p.m., when citizens warned that a man was assaulting a woman outside the New Cathedral.
When the officers came to the scene, they spoke to several witnesses and their partner. The first reported that the man and the woman were shouting at each other, and at one point the man shook his partner. The woman wanted to leave, but the man grabbed her and dragged her violently, so the alleged aggressor was arrested.
