The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobilitywill launch a special safety device on the occasion of the total solar eclipse that will take place on Wednesday, August 12, with the aim of facilitating the mobility of citizens and responding to the expected increase in travel to the main observation points of the phenomenon.

The Merchant Coast Directorate-General has extended recommendations for recreational boat mastersand Maritime Rescue will strengthen its resources to deal with possible emergencies: 14 Salvamar vessels, 10 boats and two tugboats will be ready.
At airports, Aena will put in place a special device to provide passenger information andadapt approach lighting during the eclipse, although no further air traffic is planned, considering the current forecast sufficient.
