We have a wide range of possibilities in the Basque Country: from the sea, from a vineyard or from our peaks, through a guided observation telescope, among others, we can see the eclipse of August 12th.
The following are plans and places for you to enjoy the full solar eclipse next Wednesday, the 12th, of all kinds, both in the city and in the wilderness.
Alava
- Wine tourism in the Rioja Alavesa (Laguardia and Elciego): an eclipse between vineyards with a glass of wine in hand in wineries such as Valdelana, Casa Primicia or Marqués de Riscal

- Nerve points for eclipses: cliffs of Galea and Arrigunaga, Pagasarri, Punta Lucero (Zierbena), Serantes (Santurtzi)
- Workshops and astronomical show in Artxanda: official space enabled by the Bilbao City Council and the astronomical societies of Bizkaia with telescopes and live projectors for the public
- Tastings and observations in the txakoli vineyards of the Incarlations in Carranza and Balmaseda: pairings of txakoli and local products at sunset on the terraces and vineyards
Guipúzcoa
- Paddle surfing in the bay of La Concha (San Sebastián): guided trips to the water organized by the Royal Tennis Club of San Sebastián
