Spanish government to approve aid for victims of Urda accident on Tuesday
The aid will be approved at the meeting of the Council of Ministers and the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Oscar Puente, is expected to appear before the press and report on the accident.
On Tuesday, the Council of Ministers of the Spanish Government will approve the royal decree grantingfinancial assistanceto the victims of the rail accident in Urda , at which a new report on the circumstances of the accident will be discussed.
Thus, government sources have specified to EFE that Puente himself will appear at the press conference following the Council of Ministers and that he will report on the aid. On the same day, in the afternoon, the Minister of Transport will appear in the Permanent Council of Congress.
As in other disasters, the aid will be included in a royal decree which, in the case of the previous serious rail accident in Adamu, the Council of Ministers approved compensation of EUR 210,000 per deceased.
In addition to the aid, he will present another report on the accident, which will probably include details of the explanations given on Friday. The minister is in the spotlight for two serious train accidents within a year, but has ruled out resigning.
