Renfe proposes limiting traffic to 40 km/h when the LZB system partially fails
Renfe's document would be a "recommendation" for local workers, as rail traffic regulation is the responsibility of Adif, who is currently working on the content of these new guidelines.

Renfe en is preparing an instruction document for train drivers, with measures to strengthen safety, as advanced by El País and Cadena Ser and confirmed by company sources.
For the time being, Renfe has not released the contents of these new instructions, as the draft is being worked on, but the Semaf train drivers' union has stated that itis in line with the request they made to the State Railway Safety Agency (AESF) to prevent normal traffic when the LZB system fails.
In this context, according to the new slogans that Renfe would be working on, if the LZB system is partially blocked, as was the case before the Toledo accident, the route should always be resumed at "visible speed ", that is, at a maximum speed of 40 kilometres per hour.
According to these instructions, train drivers should confirm with the Adif control center that their corner is empty before they start to circulate, and report that they will do so at low speed.
Semaf has pointed out that Renfe would thus consider the request they made to the AESF to prevent normal running when the ERTMS or LZB network security system fails, should there be more than one train on the same corner.
In any case, Riera's future document would be a recommendation to the workers, since the regulation of rail traffic belongs to Adif.
