Iran will impose the death penalty on anyone who helps the enemy
Iran has warned the media and the population that cooperation with the enemy will be punished with death and confiscation of property following the US and Israel offensive, which has already left more than 1,200 dead.
The Iranian authorities have warned that "anyone helping the enemy" could be sentenced to death and could be subjected to seizure of property, amid the offensive launched by the United States and Israel on 28 February, during nuclear negotiations with Washington.
The spokesman for the Iranian judicial apparatus, Asghar Yahangir, has pointed out that warnings have also been sent to local media for those who took photos or videos in prohibited places and has warned that if repeated, legal measures will be implemented. The public network IRIB has reported that the sanctions are aimed at ensuring compliance with safety standards.
The announcement comes one day after the Iranian Public Prosecutor's Office announced the seizure of foreign Iranian properties if they cooperate with the enemy and damage national security.
Iran responded by launching missiles and drones against Israel and US targets in the Middle East, including military bases.
