Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Monday that the Israeli Army has launcheda ground operation in southern Lebanon, according to a statement published on official Ministry channels.
"The Israeli Defence Forces have launched a ground operation in Lebanon to eliminate threats and protect the inhabitants of Galilee and the north of our country," he said after analysing the situation with senior military officials.
