Tension escalates in the Middle East after Iran and the US began to attack each other
Tehran has attacked Washington's military installations in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates in response to the U.S. bombing of Larek Island and the burning of an "oil supership" in Hormuz with the explosion of two mines.
The situation escalated on Monday following Iranian attacks on U.S. military bases in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in response to U.S. shelling of Larek Island in the Strait of Hormuz.
The Revolutionary Guard of the Persian country has reported that the Aerospace Force has fired ballistic missiles at the United States air bases King Hussein and Al Azraq, both in Jordan.
Subsequently, the Iranian Army has reported a second drone attack on the Al Minhad base south of Dubai , in which Tehran claims to have used dozens of driverless aircraft against helicopters and American troops stationed in that facility.
Jordan, for its part, has claimed that its air defense systems intercepted eight missiles and destroyed the shells before they got anywhere.
Oil supership burned in Ormuz
The Revolutionary Guard Army has claimed that an "oil supership" caught fire in Hormuz and remained motionless after crashing into two sea mines as it attempted to cross the southern course of the strait.
