The whole of Euskal Herria, on orange alert for heat
The ACV is on orange heat alert, as well as Navarre and Iparralde. Euskalmet foresees temperatures of around 40 degrees inland and above 30 degrees on the coast.

The whole of the Basque Autonomous Community is on orange alert today, as are Navarre and Iparralde. According to Euskalmet, temperatures will be around 40 degrees inland and above 30 degrees along the coast.
The Basque Government's Department of Safety has activated the orange alert for high temperatures throughout the Basque Country during this heat wave.
In particular, from 13:00 to 20:00, an extreme temperature alert will be issued in Álava, which could reach 38 degrees throughout the territory and 39 degrees in the south.
Throughout the day there will be an alert for persistent high temperatures, as the highs could be around 32 degrees on the coast and around 37 degrees on the interior of Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa.
In addition to these alerts, the yellow warning for the risk of forest fires, high temperatures and low relative humidity will be activated again this Tuesday.
According to the Basque Meteorology Agency, Euskalmet, temperatures will drop on Wednesday and the decline will be more pronounced in the interior, where the highs will be between 30 and 34 degrees. In the south of Álava they will be slightly higher and will be around 30 degrees on the coast.
In Navarre, in addition to the orange heat alert (temperatures of 39 degrees are expected in some areas), the risk of fires is "extreme" or "very high".
