Ten people have been treated in Osakidetza ER for high temperatures
Nine patients have had to be taken to hospital, and most of the cases have been in Gipuzkoa and Álava. The Department of Health recommends extreme caution, following the 2025 Heat Plan, especially in risk populations.
The Osakidetza Emergency Service has treated 10 people affected by the high temperatures recorded in the Basque Country until 7 p.m. this Tuesday, nine of whom have been evacuated by ambulance to hospitals or health centres.
The Department of Health of the Basque Government recalls the importance of following the recommendations of the 2025 Heat Plan, which aims to prevent and reduce the impact of extreme temperatures on health, especially during the warmest months.
The Plan focuses on the protection of the most vulnerable groups: children under four years of age, the elderly, pregnant women, persons with chronic illnesses and persons engaged in physical activity abroad.
