Yellow warning for high temperatures throughout the Basque Country, except on the coast, and in several areas of Navarre
The warning will affect the interior of Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa and Álava, as well as the central area, the Pyrenees and the Ribera del Ebro of Navarre, and the ceilings will be up to 36 degrees on the axis of the Ebro. On Friday, more heat is expected to reach 41 degrees in Pamplona and 40 degrees in Bilbao.
The Department of Safety and Security has activated the yellow warning for very high temperatures in the interior of Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa and Álava for today. In Navarre, the State Meteorology Agency will keep the yellow warning in the central area, in the Pyrenees and in the Ribera del Ebro, where extreme temperatures are expected.
The warning will remain active throughout the daydueto persistent high temperatures: up to 32 degrees in the interior of Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, up to 35 degrees in Álava and up to 36 degrees on the axis of the Ebro. Moreover, between one and seven o'clock, Álava will be under warning for very high temperatures.

The south-east winds will cause thermometers in many parts of the interior to be around 37-40 degrees and on the coast around 35 degrees. In Bilbao they will be up to 40 degrees, in Pamplona 41 degrees, in San Sebastian 37 degrees and in Vitoria 39 degrees.
