The Department of Safety oftheBasque Government will activate the orange alert throughout the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country from 12:00 to 20:00. The Basque Agency for Meteorology (Euskalmet) has announced a maximum of 39 degrees in the interior of Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, and temperatures of between 38 and 39 degrees in Álava.
In Navarre, the AEMET foresees temperatures of around 40 degrees, so an orange alert will be activated for extreme heat from 13:00 to 21:00.

According to Euskalmet, Sunday will be hot, but slightly less than in previous days. The highs will be 27 degrees on the coast, 34 degrees on the interior of Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, 36 degrees in central Álava and 37 degrees on the axis of the Ebro.
