Yellow snow warning this Friday inside the Basque Country
The snow level is expected to be between 600 and 800 metres, and low Christmas and Christmas temperatures will continue.
The Basque Government's Department of Safety has activated the yellow warning for snow inside the Basque Country this Friday, December 26, from 00:00 to 09:00.
The snow level will be between 600 and 800 metres early in the morning and will rise above 1,000 metres in the morning.
However, faint and intermittent rainfall is expected, especially in the east and south, with thicknesses of 0-2 centimetres to 1000 metres and 0-1 centimetres to 600 metres, while at lower levels snow accumulations are not expected at 200 metres.
The snow will be here after the cold ChristmasEve. In fact, we have been around 0 degrees inland and even ice in the south. Thursday temperatures are also being cold, with highs of between 4 and 8 degrees.
However, on Friday, 26 December, temperatures are expected to rise slightly, although the atmosphere inside will still be cold.
On the other hand, the Department of Safety and Security recommends extreme caution on inland roads early on Friday and attention to ice sheets, especially in mountain areas.
