Fermin Muguruzaand his band have gatheredinAnoeta 30,000 people in their"anti-fascist coven" . The rain has not been able to break the mood of the crowd that has gathered at the Anoeta stadium, nor the solidarity cries for Palestina.
Like all Muguruza concerts, this was not just a celebration of the 40 years of the singer's career in Irun, but ashow for freedom and Basque music . As usual,the political expressions and the friendship of the attendees have been one of the strengths of the night, facing the growing wave of extreme right in Europe.
The attendees have enjoyeda three-and-a-half-hour concert, composed of38 songs . Muguruza offered the audience a mix of carefully selected songs so that they could listen to compositions of all ages and musical stages. As the Irundarra pointed out, "at least one song for each album produced": Kortatu Sarri, Sarritik, Korrikako
Next stop: Irun.
Meanwhile, Fermin Muguruza announced another "anti-fascist coven", this time in his hometown, Irun. As announced by the singer and confirmed this Sunday by the City Council, the Irundarras will have aspecial concert on August 14 .
So Muguruza will be in his city on the 40th anniversary tour of his career.
"Free Palestine!"
One of the most special proclamations of the night was the Palestinian. Although he had not been caught, the cry coloured the stands, filling them with red, black, white, and Palestinian green flags.
In the rain,thousands of peoplein showed solidarity with Palestine at the gates of the Iranian musician's concert.
