The Basque Orchestra, 132 looking for non-professional singers
The Basque Orchestra will once again offer local musicians, after the first edition of last year, to non-professional singers. In the second edition of the program Sing with the Basque Orchestra, 132 voices will join the orchestra in Baluarte (Pamplona, 13 March), Euskalduna (Bilbao, 14 March) and Kursaal (16 and 18 March).
The registration deadline will be open until December 4, on the band's website, and on December 15 they will be announced which singers have been selected. Candidates must have "minimal musical preparation" and be able to read scores. In the previous two months, 10 collective rehearsals will be held to prepare the concerts they will offer under the direction of Riccardo Frizza.
The rehearsals will be held from 14 January to 12 March, Wednesday (19:15-21: 45), in Miramon, and the first three will be repeated at the Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga Music School in Bilbao (23 and 30 January and 6 February, 17:15-19: 45), to facilitate the performance of the singers of Bizkaia and Álava.
Before the first rehearsal, the vocal and piano scores and voice recordings will be made available to the participants.
