Arriaga opens and Falla closes the Music-Music festival
The 25th edition of the Bilbao festival begins in the Arriaga and will take place at the Euskalduna Palace on 6, 7 and 8 March.
The 25th edition of the Bilbao Classical Music Festival, Musika-Musica, will begin on March 6 at the Arriaga Theatre in Bilbao. The Bilbao Coral Society and the BOS Bilbao Symphony Orchestra will then perform the "Symphony of Re Menor" by Bilbaíno composer Juan Cistostomo Arriaga.
Meanwhile, there will be 69 concerts, on 6, 7 and 8 March, at affordable ticket prices (between 4 and 15 euros) and, except for the initial concert, all at the Euskalduna Palace.
The first concert will also include the piece "Te Deum" by G. Bizet, in addition to the work of the Arriaga, and the concerts at the Euskalduna Palace will last about 45 minutes.
The symphonic and coral concerts will be held at the Aditorium, where the works of Beethoven, Gustav Mahler, J. Brahms, R. Wagner, Chaikovsky, Mozart and Strauss will be heard. This same hall will host the closing concert, which the Granada City Orchestra has dedicated to composer Manuel de Falla, in which "Nights in the gardens of Spain" and "The Brujo Love" will be heard.
Tickets will be on sale on February 12.
