San Sebastian Jazz Festival awards David Murray, Joe Lovano and Miguel Martín
The 61st San Sebastian Jazz Festival will offer 77 concerts from 22 to 26 July in 12 stages, 47 of which will be available free of charge to the public, including Pat Metheny, Diana Krall, Marc Ribot Marcus Miller, Joe Lovano, David Murray, Samara Joy, Charles Tolliver, Carmen Lundy and Cécile McLorin Salvant.
This year, the Jazz Festival celebrates the anniversary of the birth of Miles Davis and John Coltrane, with two concerts in Trinity Square: Marcus Miller –We Want Miles! on July 25 and New sketches of Spain: Erik Truffaz-Antonio Lizana on July 26 for Davis; and Azar Lawrence Quartet: John Coltrane .
The Jazz Festival announced at a press conference that 11,000 tickets had been sold for the pay-per-view concerts on the 25th at Trinity Square (Charles Tolliver and Marcus Miller), Pat Metheny on the 25th of July and Diana Krall on the 26th at the Kutxabank Kursaal Auditorium.
Beyond jazz, Keler Gunea hosts Zurriola with ETS, Nøgen, Kokoshca and Hofe, among others.

The award of honor for the historic music festival will be awarded this year to David Murray, architect of modern jazz sound, saxophonist Joe Lovano and Miguel Marín, director of the Jazz Festival from 1984 to 2026.
