The Arriaga Theatre will offer 'La cuisine de ma cousine' by La Cubana in summer

"The Last Night with My Brother", written and directed by Navarro, will be played on Friday and Saturday in Pamplona. 

The show, produced by the Bilbao Municipal Theatre, tells the story of the Italian composer Carlo Gesualdo. 

The Kalamua theatre group has put on the stage the history of the mining women of Euskal Herria with "Alas de hierro". The six women who make up the group have combined creativity, vindication and humor. They have not found songs or hymns of the women miners, however much they have sought, but that has not been an obstacle.

in 2025 in San Sebastian it was the best work offered by a professional company in Basque for the adult public, according to the judgment. The company will receive a prize of 12,000 euros and a painting as an award, on 27 March, and the winning play will be played.

The play, written by Maria Goiricelaya and adapted and directed by Fernando Bernués and Mireia Gabilondo, draws a path of civil disobedience and plunges the viewer into the 18/98 summary. The Basque version will be released today, January 8, in the Arriaga, and the Spanish version tomorrow, January 9, on the same stage. Then the show will tour: Eibar, Zarautz, Donostia, Gasteiz, Barakaldo, Hondarribia...      

The Tanttaka Theatre will present on March 15 the play "Disobedients" on March 18/98. 

On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the early death on 17 January 2026 of composer Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga, who died at the age of 19, the Bilbaia theatre bearing his name will make a double proposal. On January 17, the orchestra directed by La Ritirata Josetxu Obregón will offer the concert Arriaga and the echo of his time , and on January 10 and 24, and on February 1, in the morning, there will be theatrical tours prepared by actors Koldo Olabarri and Ainhoa Etxebarria. Tickets for the concert can be purchased for between 26 and 52 euros, and for tours for 15 euros. 

The first play to be seen in the new municipal theatre in Bilbao is "The Story of a Memory." In the small alley of Pasaje Begoña Torremolinos, a massive police raid was carried out against those who tried to live in secret freedom from the Franco repression in 1971.  Markel Hernández's text has been directed, created and interpreted by Aritz Castillo, Nora Urdanpilleta, Nerea Sanz, Pino de Pablos, Markel Urrestarazu and Arnatz Puertas in their teamwork. The performances will take place from 6 to 23 November, from Thursday to Sunday.

Under the direction of artistic director Edurne Azkarate, the new show of the Loraldia festival aims to revive the experimental and avant-garde spirit of the original work of the brothers Laboa, Artze and Zumeta through music, poetry, dramaturgy and live audiovisual.
