Judge indicts four former ETA members in connection with the 2002 Santa Pola bombing
In the judgement, Piña charged the four with "terrorist murder, terrorist injury and terrorist damage caused by the attack of 4 August 2002".
Judge Antonio Piña of theNational High Court has indicted former ETA leaders Marisol Iparagirre , Anboto, Jon Olarra Guridi, Félix Ignacio Esparza and Ainhoa Mujika in connection with the attack on the Civil Guard headquarters in Santa Pola, Alicante, in which two people were killed and dozens injured.
In his ruling, Piña charged the four with "terrorist murder, terrorist injury and terrorist damage caused by theattack of 4 August 2002 ", and last August Mikel Albisu and Ramón Sagarzazu were prosecuted for their alleged links to this attack.
The judge argues that " the evidenceof criminality against Anboto, Olarra Guridi, Esparza and Mujika has been upheld. "
Piña explained that Olarra Guridi and Mujika were "in charge of the Otsagi military structure, which was responsible for the control, coordination and supply of the groups", while Esparza was accused of "running the logistics apparatus" on the grounds that his task was "to obtain, prepare and distribute the material used in the attacks".
Finally, the ruling states that Anboto was "in charge of the financial apparatus" and was involved in "the management and distribution of financial resources to support terrorist activity".
