UCO has entered Ferraz by court order to clone Santos Cerdán's mail
Sources of the investigation have reported that the officers have acted at the PSOE headquarters, the Adif facility and the Directorate-General for Roads at the request of High Court Judge Leopoldo Puente.
The Central Operational Unit of the Civil Guard (UCO) entered the PSOE headquarters on Ferraz Street this Friday at the request of the Supreme Court to clone the corporate mail of former party Secretary of Organization Santos Cerdán.
Sources close to the investigation have informed EFE that they have also been to the Ministry of Transport after the judge asked the incumbent, Oscar Puente, to "clone" the corporate mail account of former Minister José Luis Ábalos.
UCO has also accessed the facilities of ADIF and the Directorate-General for Roads to request the information requested by Supreme Court Judge Leopoldo Puente.
Transport sources have confirmed to EFE their "full readiness" to cooperate with the investigation.
These are not records, but requests for information, according to the sources, since the Supreme Magistrate, in a car known this Friday, has rejected the request of the popular accusations to register the PSOE headquarters and the Cerdán office as a measure that "limits rights" and would not be useful at the moment.
In this order, the judge formally imputes former PSOE number three, Santos Cerdán, and orders an investigation into his estate, extending the investigation to five businessmen who were allegedly bitten by irregular awards.
Judge Leopoldo Puente wants access to Santos Cerdán's corporate email address, as the former Secretary of Organization would have handed it over to former Ábalos adviser Koldo García (also under investigation) to send him some important communications in this regard.
The judge also orders that the PSOE facilitate access and cloning to the UCO to any other corporate postal account used exclusively by Santos Cerdán, who will testify at the Supreme Court on 30 June.
In addition to the Party and Transport, the judge wants ADIF and the Directorate-General for Roads to provide documentation on certain assignments that would be suspected by investigators.
