EH Bildu's Secretary General has claimed that the Elgoibarresa businessman Antxon Alonso, allegedly involved in the 'Koldo case', is a friend of his friend, who mediated for him and the PSOE's Secretary of Organization to meet.
EH Bildu has spoken for the first time since PSOE's Secretary of Organization, Santos Cerdán, entered prison. The Secretary General, Arnaldo Otegi, has acknowledged that he met Cerdán through businessman Antxon Alonso (then PSN's Secretary of Organization), who has been one of EH Bildu's most important interlocutors with the Socialist Party.
Otegi has explained that during his meeting with Cerdán, both of them detailed the channels of communication between EH Bildu and PSOE.
He says he hardly knows Alonso, he hasn't seen him more than four times, but he's a friend of a friend. He adds that the businessman allegedly involved in the 'Koldo case' told him that Cerdán wanted to meet him.
The Navarre company Servinabar has been involved in the alleged corruption plot linked to the illegal award of public works, of which Alonso is the main owner.
Likewise, Otegi has explained that Cerdán has been oneof EH Bildu's most important interlocutors with the PSOE in recent years, but "not the only one."
In any case, Otegi has stressed that EH Bildu has nothing to hide and that all the agreements reached with the PSOE are public.
On the other hand, Otegi has warned Sanchez that "it's no longer worth saying it's a worse alternative," so he has asked him to start a real reflection on the state model.
