Gasteiz Gobernu Irekiaren Goi Bilera Globalaren bederatzigarren edizioaren eszenatokia da gaurtik aurrera, 74 herrialdetatik etorritako 2.000 parte-hartzaile baino gehiago biltzen dituen foroa. Euskadi izan zen nazioarteko aliantza horretara atxiki zen lehen autonomia erkidegoa, eta edizio honetan Espainia da buru.
2011n Barack Obama AEBetako presidenteak bultzatu zuen goi-bilera eta alkateak, ekintzaileak, erakunde zibilak eta lehen mailako erakundeetako ordezkariak izango dira bertan.
