A media outlet in Valencia has given more details about the president's movements on October 29, while the court has summoned the journalist who had lunch with him as a witness.
On the eve of the anniversary of the GOIDIAthat devastated the Valencian Community, the version of Carlos Mazón has once again been called into question. A Valencian media outlet has denied that the president went directly to the headquarters of the Generalitat after a long lunch with journalist Maribel Vilaplana at the restaurant El Ventorro.
According to new reports, after lunch, which lasted almost four hours, Mazon walked to the parking lot where the journalist's car Vilaplana was, after which he walked towards the Generalitat.
That being the case, the new information does not match Mazon's version. The president of the Generalitat explained that he left the restaurant and left immediately for Palau to follow the evolution of the emergency caused by the torrential rains.
Meanwhile, the Second Section of the Valencia Provincial Court has summoned Maribel Vilaplana to testify, specifically on 3 November at 09:30.
The court considers that Vilaplana's testimony may provide "details or nuances that may be of interest to the investigation."
News of the president's movements and the journalist's judicial summons have added pressure to the president on the eve of the anniversary of the GOIDIA in Valencia.
