The President of theGovernment of Extremadura, María Guardiola (PP), has called for early elections to avoid a "blockade" on the exit of budgets, so the elections will take place on 21 December.
At an emergency hearing, Guardiola announced the call for government elections. The president explained that these will be in the "best economic and social situation" in the region .
The election campaign will therefore begin on 5 December and end on 19 December, two days before the elections.
So far, Maria Guardiola has ruled in a minority in parliamentafter five Vox deputies left the coalition government.
In fact, PP and PSOE have 28 deputies, while Sumar Extremadura has 4.
