The judge investigating the 'Koldo case' opened a separate line of investigation to investigate cash payments made by the PSOE. The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has ordered the PSOE to request the registration of payments over the past six years.
The National High Courthas requested from the PSOE a list of all cash payments made between 2017 and 2024 and related information, giving it 10 days to deliver all documentation.
Former Minister José Luis Ábalos and former adviser Koldo García want to know the origin of the cash receivedby the judge of the National High Court Ismael Moreno, who is investigating the 'Koldo case'. Within the same case, he opened a separate line of investigation to clarify the circumstances of the payments and has now requested documentation from the PSOE on the order of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
In its report, the Public Prosecutor's Office maintains that the activities under investigation could include money-laundering or diversion of funds "committed against the party".
The prosecutor has also requested information on the electronic devices of the persons under investigation, audio, messages or other documents related to the above-mentioned payments.
