The Socialist has denied the allegations and has advanced that he will initiate "legal proceedings" and that he has left office "out of love for the party" and in order to "facilitate his defence".

The PSOE, which had announced that it would act decisively in the face of allegations of sexual harassment, received a new casualty in the party on Wednesday after registering an anonymous complaint against former Lugo Deputy President José Tome.
Tom has initially rejected the allegations and announced legal action, but within a few hours he called a press conference to "voluntarily" resign so as not to harm the party and facilitate his defence.
His intention, however, is to remain a provincial deputy and mayor of Monforte de Lemos, in the group of non-attached members, along with all the socialist councillors.
As soon as the complaint became known, the PSOE asked him to hand over the minutes as a deputy and mayor and announced that, at the request of the PSdeG, a Managing Committee would be appointed immediately in the province of Lugo.
