The French Public Prosecutor's Office has released Josu Urrutikoetxea under control
Josu Urrutikoetxea has been informed in Paris of the European order issued against him by the Spanish National High Court and released under the control of the French Public Prosecutor's Office, according to Euskadi Irratia.
The judge of the Santiago Pedraz National High Court wanted Urrutikoetxea to be arrested and transferred to Spain, but instead Urrutikoetxea has presented himself to the Public Prosecutor's Office on his own initiative and has been released under control in the circumstances in which he was held until now.
Last week Pedraz issued a European order against Urrutikoetxea in connection with the local bar case, extending his previous request.
