Antonio Tejero, the lieutenant colonel who starred in the attempted coup d'état of the 23-F, died at the age of 93
The announcement of his death coincides with the publication of declassified documents of the failed coup.

Former Civil Guard colonel Antonio Tejero died on Wednesday at the age of 93, the protagonist of the attempted coup d'état of the 23-F, as confirmed to EFE by the law firm representing his family.
Tejero's death comes after the 45th anniversary of the O23 and on the same day that the government declassified documents related to the coup d'état of 23 February 1981.
