At 12:00, the participation of inthe municipal electionsof the Atlantic Pyrenees (where the French Basque Country is located) has been 26.74%, according to data provided by the Prefecture. The percentage is very similar to that recorded at the same time in the elections of six years ago (when it was 26.40%) and is above that obtained in 2014 (25.62%).
The polling stations have been opened at 08:00 and will remain open until 18:00. A total of 160 lawsuits will be elected at the ballot box. The municipal elections in the French state usually have two rounds, but in most municipalities in the French Basque Country, 90%, it will be decided in the first round who will be the lawmakers and who will be the town councillors.
