Andalusia will hold its thirteenth autonomous elections on Sunday, May 17, 2026. The legislature was scheduled to end in June, but the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno (PP), announced on Monday that the call will be brought forward by one month.
The Andalusian elections will take place after the elections in Extremadura, Aragón and Castilla y León, all won by the PP, but it will depend on Vox to form government in all of them.
Moreno arrived at the Board Presidency on January 18, 2019, after reaching a government agreement with Ciudadanos and an investiture agreement with Vox.
With the election of Moreno as president, the 36 and a half years of socialist autonomous government were interrupted without interruption, and Susana Díaz was the last president of the PSOE.
