The aim of the event is to advance the establishment of a battery company of between 400 million euros of investment and 1,000 jobs.
Navarre President Maria Chivite will sign a compromise document in Beijing next week with the CEO of Hithium to advance the implementation of the planned investment in the Foral Community.
The event, described as a formalism requested by the Chinese Government for the authorization of foreign projects, will take place on Wednesday 15 and will be attended by the Chinese and Spanish authorities, chaired by the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, as announced by Chivite himself.
The project envisages the establishment of a battery storage plant in Navarre with an investment of 400 million euros and the creation of a maximum of 1,000 jobs. Among the possible locations, the former BSH plant in Ezkiro is being studied.
The Navarre delegation, led by Chivite and Mikel Irujo, will travel to China throughout the week and take advantage of the visit to meet other companies in the country that operate in strategic sectors such as automotive and renewable energy.
