Maria Guardiola has been appointed this Tuesday president of the Extremadura Board thanks to the votes in favour of the PP and Vox. Both parties have a majority in the regional assembly. Thus, the popular leader begins a new phase in government following the agreement between the two parties.
In his final address to the investiture debate, Guardiola has pledged to govern "for all," both those who voted and those who did not, and has stressed that he will act with "honesty" and "responsibility."
He has also acknowledged that he will make mistakes, but has promised not to hide them and not to make up for problems.
The new President adds that Extremadura will have its own voice in the national debates and that its Government will place the interests of the Autonomous Community at the centre of State policy.
