PSN Secretary General and Navarre President Maria Chivite has announced that she will run again for the 2027 presidential election because she continues to "believe in the PSOE" , even though the last few months are not "easy."
Chivite, who spoke on the PSOE Regional Committee in Navarre , said in his speech that "he believes in the principles and values of the party, in the presumption of innocence and in justice".
Thepresident has stressed that there is "no alternative" to the Navarre government , because "the numbers do not add up to the far right." He has called on militants to confront polarization, defend institutions, and face a new political cycle "more forcefully than ever."
"I want to continue to lead this project because I think it's good for Navarre, because I think things are going well and we still have a lot of work to do," he said. He also asked for explicit support from the party: "I can't do it alone. I need you with me."
The socialist leader has also announcedthestart of the internal process to prepare for the formal and municipal elections of 2027. Thematic working groups will be formed and an open and participatory programme will be formed.
