Kitchen trial is over after four months
Over four months, more than 100 witnesses have testified, and the trial has been seen for sentencing.

The Kitchen trial was seen for sentencing this Tuesday. In four months, almost 40 days were held in the Spanish National High Court, in which three of the eight accused exercised their right to the last word.
With this sentence, the president of the court, Teresa Palacios, concludes the trial that began on 6 April, in which she sat on the benchthe head of the Interior of the Government ofMariano Rajoy for allegedly ordering the launch of the operation to steal documentation and compromising recordings from the former treasurer of the PP, Luis Bárcenas, for the party and its leaders.
Specifically, the prosecutor is requesting 15 years' imprisonment for former Interior Minister Jorge Fernández Díaz, the late Secretary of State for Security Francisco Martínez and former Deputy Operational Director of the Police Eugenio Pino.
The three have not exercised their right to the last word, but former Commissioner José Villarejo, former driver of Luis Bárcenas Sergio Ríos and former adviser to María Dolores de Cospedal Andrés Gómez Gordo have.
The prosecution has requested the maximum sentence for Villarejo, 19 years in prison.
