Gernika will host tomorrow a solemn act of remembrance for the victims of the 1937 bombing, which will be attended for the first time by a German president. Frank-Walter Steinmeier has recently acknowledged the "serious crimes" committed by the Germans in Gernika and will pay tribute to the victims today, accompanied by King Philip VI of Spain and President Pradales.

Summoned by the youth organization Ernai, hundreds of people have taken to the streets this afternoon in Gernika to protest against the visit tomorrow of King Philip VI of Spain.  They have denounced that "the current Spanish regime is built on the ashes of the 1937 bombing" and its symbol is the king. 

The union calls on MPs in Vitoria to support public services by increasing budget lines and taking steps to determine the working conditions of public employees here. 

The Industry Advisor, Mikel Jauregi, has sent a message of tranquillity to the workers and customers of Ayesa (formerly Ibermatica) in the hope that the company will improve if the offer of the Basque Consortium is the winner. 

The UPV/EHU rector has asked the Counsellor for Science, Universities and Innovation to abandon "personal disqualifications" and "respect" the public university and its representatives.

Counsellor Bingen Zupiria has presented to the Governing Council the Ertzaintza Employment Plan, which aims to have 8,000 officers by 2028, and has announced a new OPE of 150 places.

Member of Parliament Alaitz Zabala wanted to stress that the budgets of the Basque Country arise from the agreement of two different parties and respond to a government programme.

The Chief Executive has stressed that there has been "a lack of will to reach real consensus," although in many cases "diagnoses have coincided." However, he has pledged to continue talking "to pursue policies that improve life."

The plan envisages mobilising EUR 2.6 billion by 2030, of which EUR 650 million would be public investment and EUR 1.95 billion would be induced private investment, with the aim of working together between producers, companies, associations, technology centres, universities and administrations.

The General Secretary of the Biscay Socialists said on Sunday that being a cross-sectional party bothers others (PNV, EH Bildu, PP and Podemos).

In an interview on Radio Euskadi, María Jesús San José stressed that a democratic society must remember what happened so that it does not recur. In this regard, the Counsellor for Justice and Human Rights has said that rights must be preserved so that they are not lost.

In response to a parliamentary question from the President of the Basque PP, Javier de Andrés, the lehendakari has said that delays are an "obstacle" to the development of the Basque Country, so he has sent letters to the French President, Emmanuel Madron, and to the French Prime Minister, Sebastien Lecornu, urging them to "get involved" in the Hendaia-Bordeaux connection.

A "homogeneous and coordinated" care will be provided to children and adolescents who have suffered Barnahus  sexual violence; they will receive health, education, social, police and justice services in one space.
