The Erne Police Union has urged "all parties without exception" to speak out "clearly" against the paintings.

The PNV believes that EH Bildu "has taken a further step" in questioning whether the Ertzaintza is a democratic police force and accuses the sovereign coalition of placing the Ertzaintza and the local police in an "irresponsible" position.

In addition, representatives of the Socialist Youth Coordinator have stressed that what happened yesterday "once again makes clear who is causing security problems: the police themselves, opposing social protests".

The sovereign coalition calls for "a thorough review and reform of the police model." In the view of EH Bildu, the latest police interventions have not been "proportionate and appropriate to prevent further damage." The PP believes that there is a problem "with the radical left that the PNV is not only unable to deal with, but is helping to feed and encourage."
